It appears that summer is finally here and there is no better indication than seeing hundreds of kids playing soccer on a beautiful June night. Monday night marked the first day of the Tri-City Storm recreational soccer league and we couldn’t have asked for a better night to have everyone come out to enjoy some fun and games. The spring rec season had its difficulties especially considering mother nature apparently didn’t want people to play soccer, but already the summer rec season is a hit. From June 10th through July 22nd, 27 teams will compete in a fun and positive environment where not only kids, but also parents and coaches can improve their knowledge of the sport and discover a love for the game of soccer.
There are teams from all around the Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo area with 19 Tri-City Storm teams, 4 Coerver Academy teams and 4 West Fargo Soccer Club teams participating in the summer rec league. As the summer goes on we can only hope that the weather continues to stay like this and the kids continue to learn and have fun. The first night is done, but there is still a lot more soccer to be played so we will be seeing you all on Monday nights!
