The U17 Girls Black team went down to Minneapolis this past weekend to participate in the Minnesota Thunder Academy College Showcase. This tournament proved to be a good warm up for the girls as they prepare to head down to Auburndale, Florida for the national competition of the Presidents Cup. The girls recorded one win, tie and loss as they competed against top level teams from around Minnesota. They loss their first game 0-4 against Gitchi Gummi, before rallying to beat the East Side Rangers in their second game. Their third and final game they came up against MTA ’98 and came away with one point after a scoreless draw
It is now crunch time for the ladies as they have less than a week until they leave for Florida and to compete on one of the biggest stages. What they do between now and then will determine if they are successful or not and so let’s all wish them luck! Good luck this week and get ready to make history!
